Snozzcumbers and Whizzpoppers

When I was a little girl I loved books written by Roald Dahl.  Each week when it was time for my elementary class to go to the library, I would venture over to the "D" section and pick out the next Roald Dahl book that I had not yet read. The BFG, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator were some of my favorites.  They were thrillers to a little girl.  His writings were magical and whimsical and I was enchanted with them. Incorporated into his imaginative writings he taught many truths and principles that I consider to be of especially great worth.

And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world
around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden
in the most unlikely places.  Those who don't believe in
magic will never find it.

We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams.
-Roald Dahl

Its been far too long since I've read any of his books preventing me from being able to discuss or expound upon his whimsical teachings in any great detail. For the night, it is enough to make him the subject of my first entry on my "new and secret" blog.  Mr Dahl left a distinct impression on me as a child which still carries over into adulthood. Hence, my new assignment: read The BFG, book report to follow. Due in two weeks, June 30th.
