Rewind. Fast Forward. Rewind.

I was rummaging around in my old drafts and found this from last January. Hmmm. Seems relevant to post since I just posted part 1 of "our story." Hope you don't mind that chronologically I'm turning things upside down!

Mark Craig Thompson. I am humbled that a man such as him thought I was close enough to his ideal image of an eternal mate that he would marry me (think of mate like the Australians reference it... as opposed to the mate of an animal).

I've for a long time wanted to write "our story" and the many miracles it entailed and the obvious presence of Heavenly Father's hand in our coming together. If it had been left up to me, I would have confounded the process before it ever began and all throughout the courtship period. If it had been left up to Mark, he would have heeded the anti-relationship, anti-vulnerable vibes I was trying extra hard to send his way. Wow I am blessed. Heavenly Father gave me the sweetest blessing of my life when I was absolutely prepared for a famine.

Another day I will attempt to write "our story." Tonight I will fast forward a bit, and expound on post marriage life with Mark Craig Thompson.

Marriage has been dreamy. Almost weird that life should give me a bowl of cherries so sweet and already pitted?!! I know marriage will be difficult and stretch me, teach me, and humble me. However, its been strangely easy. But for the year 2010, its been everything I've needed it to be. I am deeply grateful that he has been by my side for the many life changes that have occurred during this past year.
